issuing a Call For Papers for its
23rd Symposium on QFD,
scheduled for 2011 December 3 at Hard Rock
Hotel, San Diego, California USA.

Papers of
Interest
Papers reporting QFD
application case studies as well as research papers are invited. Both
completed projects and those still in progress are candidates for
presentation. This conference welcomes paper submissions from all
countries and industries.

What to
Submit

Summary
of your proposed paper (1–2 pages);

(maximum 250 characters, not words);

If your paper
reports:
research, academic
works, hypothetical case studies, new methods proposals, consultant
papers, and papers reporting QFD applications involving companies other
than your own, please submit a draft paper, in place of a summary
(item #1 above).

Papers
reporting QFD application case studies as well as research papers are
invited.
Paper
selection will be made on the basis of overall quality, interest to symposium
attendees, relevance to the conference, originality and depth of the work, value of contribution to the QFD world, and commitment to in-person
presentation at the Symposium.
Application Papers
are defined
as papers reporting QFD implementation within your company on your own
product, business process, or service, accompanied with empirical data. The author(s)
should have been directly involved with the project / example that is being
reported. Application Papers should include the methods of data collection,
data source, and methods of QFD analysis, to the extent and form permissible
for public disclosure (evidence substantiating the application of QFD). When
you submit an abstract, please include a summary that explains your plans
for incorporating this information in your final paper.
Academic
Papers,
Research Papers, New Methods Proposal, Hypothetical Case Reports
should be founded on sound QFD
knowledge, have a clear theoretical base, and include supporting data.
Please submit a full draft paper to initiate the review process. To the extent available at this time, please include such
details as: your research purpose;
conceptual or theoretical basis; what you aim to achieve; your data source;
methods of data collection and analysis; QFD tools you have selected to use
and the reason for it; and references that you are using or
plan to use.
If your research is still in progress,
you may send your Call for Papers
intention now through the
Online Form and then tell us when you plan to submit a
draft
paper. If your paper requires "Peer Review," please specify so.
Consultant Papers should include supporting data, methods of
data collection or data source, and methods of QFD analysis. Please submit a
full draft paper to initiate the review process. If your paper
includes an example or case study, please also submit a written authorization from
your
client permitting your presentation of their case. Acceptance priority shall
be given on presentations by clients as it is preferred by our audience.
Papers
mainly comprised of summaries and quotes from website information, previously published
articles, publications, and examples of others are not appropriate for
this Call for Papers.
QFD Institute's Symposia do not permit papers and presentations containing
sales pitch, advertising, and/or infomercial. If you wish to promote/exhibit your

Paper evaluation and acceptance may be
made on a rolling basis. Acceptance will be notified by email.
Acceptance
is contingent upon completion of your
Speaker Registration by a specified
timeframe, submission of your final paper and copyright agreement, and commitment to in-person presentation at the Symposium.
Final Paper
Accepted
authors are to submit a final paper by the date specified on your Acceptance
Letter.
Paper formatting
specifications will be communicated upon acceptance of your paper proposal.
