Affiliations
The QFD Institute is an independent non-profit organization
incorporated in Michigan USA. It is
the only organization in the world that is dedicated
to the state-of-the-art QFD education and research.
We works in cooperation with domestic quality organization as well as overseas
QFD groups:
For example, QFD Institute's Symposium on QFD is sponsored by the
Automotive Division of the
American Society for
Quality (ASQ) and Michigan Quality Council; the QFD Institute is the American representative to the
International Council for QFD
(ICQFD),
an alliance of countries participating in international QFD research activities
and conferences.
Additionally, the QFD Institute hosts or sponsors the ICQFD's
annual International Symposium on QFD that is held at various cities around the world.
We are also the administrator of Akao
Prize,
Akao Scholarship for QFD,
and the world's only
QFD certificate program approved by Dr. Yoji Akao. The International QFD
Belt Certificates can be issued only by the QFD Institute and its instructors.
Except for collaboration through
ICQFD, as an independent
organization the QFD Institute is not directly affiliated with
foreign QFD institutions and groups that might have chosen to use a similar
name. QFD diploma issued by such organizations do not qualify for the
international QFD Belt Certificate as they do not meet many of the
criteria
for the current best practices.
For upcoming QFD Institute sponsored events around the world, please see
Events. For questions, please
