QFD Institute Privacy Policy
The information that we collect at the time of your
newsletter opt-in include: your full name, mailing address, email address,
company name, job title, and industry. You may also select topics of interest.
Your personal information including e-mail
address will be used solely for the purpose of communications between you and
the QFD Institute. We do not share, sell, or rent our e-mail list to anyone
without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law.
As an opt-in newsletter, you control your
subscription. We never send
email asking you to 'update' or 'confirm' your contact information,
subscription, or membership. At the bottom of each newsletter, you will find "Safe
Unsubscribe" and "Update" buttons that allow you to
automatically make changes. Subscribers may also send changes to the
QFD
Institute.
The newsletter is sent only to a list
of subscribers who have voluntarily opted in, their direct personal referrals, and
those who have an existing relationship with the QFDI such as attendees of QFDI
events and meetings.
Cautions about Spoofed Email:
Our newsletter never accompanies an attachment
file. Do not open a fake newsletter that contains an attachment.
We do not send email unless you contacted us. We
never send email asking you to verify your ID, membership, subscription status,
etc. Non-newsletter email from the QFD Institute always
shows an identifiable staff person's Full Name in FROM field, typed with
appropriate caps. We do not send email using a committee name, department name
or function/team name such as 'registration,' 'support,' 'customer department,'
etc.
If you receive a suspicious email containing
the QFDI name or domain address, or if you are not sure, do not open the
suspicious email but delete it.
