What We Do

The QFD Institute is the single most-dedicated QFD education and research organization in the world. Among services and activities we do are:

• Research in leading edge design and quality concepts and bringing the new ideas together to the public;
• Research in the state-of-art QFD teaching methods including presentation of the most up-to-date best QFD practices and tools;
• Public QFD forum commonly known as the Symposia on QFD for all people, annually held in North America to provide a supportive environment to exchange ideas, inspire and learn from each other through presentation of industry case studies and academic research;
• Encourage QFD study and learning in higher education through Peer Review Call For Papers and collaboration with International Council on QFD;
• QFD training of all proficiency levels at certificate levels including in-house custom QFD training and development of custom-tailored QFD process and training manuals, as well as Public QFD Courses;
• Workshops and tutorials on relevant methods at non-certificate levels; and
• Publication of QFD resources including QFD Symposia Proceedings, free Newsletters; and
• Administration of Akao Prize®.
